If you rarely use the long pole saw, then the maintenance is very necessary, otherwise you may find it can not be used any more:

1) clear the fuel tank and put in ventilated place.

2) remove the carburetor, otherwise the diaphragm will stick together and affect the performance.

3) remove the chain and guide bar, then clean them.

4) clear the whole machine carefully , especially the cylinder heat sink and air filter.

5) put the machine in dry place and out of reach of children.
